Princess Anne takes big step after Zara Tindall’s surprising decision

In the absence of King Charles and Queen Camilla, Princess Anne makes an unexpected choice. Princess Anne, the daughter of King Charles III and Queen Elizabeth II, has made significant progress since news of Mike Tindall and Zara Tindall’s unexpected plans emerged. The Princess Royal was scheduled to host a dinner at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Scotland as the patron of Columba 1400, so she left England without King Charles and Queen Camilla. According to its website, Columba 1400 is “a charity and social enterprise based in Scotland” that “enables young people, particularly those from tough realities, and the key adults in their life to lead lives of purpose, meaning, and contribution.” The announcement comes after reports that Zara and Mike, who never shout about their relationship with Harry and Meghan, are looking forward to spending time with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in abroad.
Princess Anne stated, “Columba 1400 has more than exceeded its early promise” in reference to her patronage. “Since its launch on 3 June 2000 in Staffin, I have been very pleased and impressed to learn of the thousands of young people from difficult backgrounds, along with the significant adults in their lives, who have benefitted and graduated from a series of Columba 1400 Young People’s Leadership Academies,” she added. As the King and Queen are already in Italy, Princess Anne, one of the royals who works the hardest, surprised fans with her decision. During the final leg of their tour of Italy, King Charles and Queen Camilla were greeted enthusiastically in Ravenna. The royal couple spent the three previous days in Rome, where the British monarch also addressed the Italian Parliament.
